CIF has just published its new case study, 'Turkey: The Contributions of the Clean Technology Fund to Energy Efficiency Goals’ highlighting the progress being made in transforming the energy sector in Turkey. In 2009, a CTF country investment plan detailed a strategy that aimed to support increasing energy efficiency and improving renewable energy supply. On December 14, 2021, CIF’s Global Energy Storage Program (GESP) hosted a workshop focused on the transformational potential of energy storage. Over 150 participants from 39 countries and cities across the world - including multilateral development banks, country officials, companies, and organizations investing in energy storage - discussed energy storage finance and the relationship between private capital and concessional financing.

TCLP Webinar on Scaling Climate Finance to Support Transformation
On December 9, 2021, the Transformational Change Learning Partnership (TCLP) hosted over 80 participants in a webinar that explored the inter-connected roles that multilateral, philanthropic, and private investment can play in scaling transformational climate action. During the webinar a panel of experts discussed the challenges that climate finance faces in becoming more mainstream and contributing to large-scale, rapid transformational change.
