Building resistance to stressors through improved land use and water access  

As Africa’s Sahel region struggles with drought and instability, Winrock’s Sustainable Water Partnership (SWP) is leading a groundbreaking USAID initiative to foster resilience and improve water security in one of the world’s most impoverished and vulnerable regions. The USAID Water Security and Resilience activity in Niger and Burkina Faso will build resilience by helping people manage crises and pursue sustainable pathways out of poverty.
