EDUCATING GIRLS, CHANGING LIVES 
A village bands together to protect a school Winrock started in Mali  

The school is one of 336 accelerated learning centers operated by the USAID-funded Mali Girls Leadership and Empowerment through Education (GLEE) project, implemented by Winrock. The community has rallied around it in an exceptional way. “We know anything can happen, at any time, here or elsewhere,” says one resident. “This is our village, and these are our children. We must protect them.”
