The project ended 12 years ago. The entrepreneurs it created are still going strong. Come for a ride with Maya Ghalan, one of Nepal’s first female safa tempo drivers, as she pilots her three-wheeled electric minibus through the chaotic streets of Kathmandu. Ghalan is where she is today because of a Winrock project that helped women own and drive these vehicles.

Senegal's Farmer-to-Farmer country director Ndeye Mama Toure joined Winrock in 2014, but her Winrock story began long before that, as a member of the African Women Leaders in Agriculture and the Environment (AWLAE) network that Winrock helped form in the 1980s.
