MAKING FOREST CONSERVATION PAY
How a unique plan in Vietnam protects trees and reduces poverty  

Meet Koren Gren, who leads a forest patrol group through the Green Hills of Cambodia. Gren and his team wear camouflage uniforms and look for signs of illegal logging. In three years, Gren has earned enough from this forest protection work to build his family a house. The USAID Forests and Deltas Program, implemented by Winrock International, is helping make these Payment for Forest Environmental Services (PFES) payments possible.
