A mum, a daughter and Winrock
Louise Akanvou, a leading plant geneticist in Ivory Coast, received a boost from Winrock at a crucial point in her career in the 1990s. Today, daughter Linda is managing Winrock projects in Africa and Asia. “My story with my mother comes to a full circle today because she was given the opportunity to show to her daughter what she loves and how she contributes as a citizen of the world,” Linda says.
