People at the DC Jail are routinely denied essential health care.

One person with a potentially cancerous mass was forced to wait more than a year to schedule an appointment. Another was repeatedly denied vital medication to prevent a catastrophic cardiac event.

The Department of Corrections is deliberately indifferent to its decades-long unconstitutional denial of health care. Even basic medical supplies continue to be denied.

We filed a class action lawsuit with Arnold & Porter to once again force the DOC to provide medical care that is constitutionally and morally required. Learn more!

Tell your story to help hold landlords and background check companies accountable for the harms they cause, like charging too many fees, denying people housing because of past criminal or eviction records, denying people because of a credit check, or never telling people why they were denied.
