Tell DC Council to fund the Criminal Code Revision Commission!

Can you believe DC's current criminal code was written in 1901?

100 years later, these laws still have not been updated. The current criminal code reference outhouses, steamboats, and mules.

We need these outdated laws to change and we need the CCRC to change them. 10 years of expert research will be lost if Mayor Bowser abolishes the CCRC.

Take Action

Tell DC Council to prioritize #Access2Justice.

Mayor Bowser's FY24 budget would cut funding by 60%, stripping access to critical resources from thousands of DC tenants, low-wage workers, people with disabilities, and many more. These funds are essential to the communities of DC.

Bureau of Prisons (proposed) rule financially exploits incarcerated people and their families.

This year, the BOP proposed a rule that will disproportionately harm Black and brown communities by increasing garnishments. The Justice Department can stop this from becoming a reality. Join us in telling AG Merrick Garland to abandon this rule!
Join us June 26th in downtown DC to celebrate civil rights victories and pro bono leaders at the Wiley A. Branton Awards Luncheon. Please join us for this inspiring event.
