The District and Prince George's police chased our client into his home and beat him. He is intellectually disabled and had done nothing wrong. We sued and settled for significant damages.

Dear Friend,
As Thanksgiving approaches, I am reminded that there is much to be thankful for – our courageous clients, tireless partners, generous supporters and dedicated colleagues. Over the last year, we have had the humbling privilege to use our skills and talents on work that helps create equity and justice.
Thanksgiving is also a time to reflect on the sacrifice of those who came before us in the fight for justice and to honor their legacy. As we move forward in this hard work, we build on the foundation they laid. Racial and economic equity won’t be achieved next year or the one after, but each year – with each case and project – we can come closer to the ideals that we profess to hold.
May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving next week surrounded by family and friends.
