Fleet Week Returns to NYC: May 25th - 31st

The U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard will return to New York City for Fleet Week after two years of the event being held virtually. Multiple ships and nearly three thousand Sailors and Marines will visit the five boroughs, marking the beginning of summer, as well as New York City’s continued recovery from the pandemic. A press conference was held at City Hall this week to announce the event’s return.

“Fleet Week New York is an iconic partnership that represents the respect and gratitude we have for our military service members and Veterans. This tradition creates an invaluable opportunity for New Yorkers to understand and appreciate what it means to serve our country. This year, Fleet Week also symbolizes New York City’s resilience as we emerge from the pandemic. We are so happy to welcome Fleet Week back to NYC." - James Hendon, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services
