Vote.

Research shows that veterans are more likely to be civically engaged than those who have not served in the military. So if you're a veteran and you've already voted, encourage your friends and family to do the same. 

If you're not a veteran but want to show gratitude for their service and the freedom it secured, please vote. To quote John F. Kennedy: "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."

Vote Early

DVS Commissioner James Hendon voted early last weekend. Did you?

Early voting hours have recently been extended, see below:
  • Friday, 10/30: 7 am - 5 pm
  • Saturday 10/31: 7 am - 5 pm
  • Sunday 11/1: 7 am - 4 pm

Early in-person voting ends Sunday, November 1st.

 

Vote by Mail

The last day to request an absentee ballot was October 27th. You can track your application here.

Once you've received your absentee ballot, refer to these instructions on how to complete it.
After you have received and signed your absentee ballot you may return it in any of the following ways:
  • Put it in the mail and ensure it receives a postmark no later than November 3rd
  • Drop it off at an early voting poll site by Sunday, November 1st
  • Drop it off at a poll site on Election Day (Tuesday, November 3rd) by 9 pm 
  • Drop it off at your County Board of Elections Office no later than November 3rd by 9 pm. For a list of drop off locations in NYC, click here.
After you've returned your absentee ballot, you can make sure it was received by tracking it here

 

Vote on Election Day (Last Chance)

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020. Polls are open from 6:00 am - 9:00 pm. Casting your ballot on Election Day is your last chance to vote in 2020!
