SITREP Season 2 Premieres Today!

We're happy to announce that Season 2 of SITREP, the official DVS Podcast, premieres today.

We're dedicating each episode of SITREP: Season 2 to a single theme in an effort to provide a deep dive into the issues that impact veterans and their families. To represent the diversity of NYC's veteran community, each Season 2 episode will feature an array of guests sharing their personal stories and unique perspectives.

The first episode of the new season profiles the stories of transitioning veterans. From losing a community to regaining a sense of purpose, we explore the challenges and successes veterans experience when they come home from serving their country. This episode features interviews with James Fitzgerald, Director of the NYC Veterans Alliance, as well as Amauri Espinal and Monique Rada of the NYC Department of Veterans' Services.

giving thousands of veterans an extra year of college tuition benefits or appeal the order in hopes of reversing the potential billions of dollars in new payouts. Last week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims issued its final ruling on the case of “BO vs Wilkie,” letting stand an earlier decision that the Department of Veterans Affairs practice of making veterans relinquish their Montgomery GI Bill eligibility in order to receive Post-9/11 GI Bill payouts is improper.
