As GI Bill Delays Persist, NYC Steps Up

DVS and the Department of Social Services (DSS) have collaborated to assist student veterans adversely impacted by the 2018 Fall semester GI Bill delays. If a student veteran has fallen behind on rent and is in need of immediate assistance, we've stepped up to streamline the way in which DSS will evaluate their case for emergency funds or other benefits.

To provide more information to landlords and housing managers, download this joint letter from DVS and DSS.
