A Message From Mayor Adams:
Each week DVS shares a brief update about how our administration is getting stuff done for New Yorkers.
Improving livability also means making our city more affordable, and last week, we announced that we are overhauling the way our students use public transit by moving eligible students from MetroCards to OMNY cards that will offer more rides and more flexibility. Eligible students can use them all day long, all year round, with four free trips every day. With more rides and time flexibility, these new OMNY cards are a game-changer for families across the five boroughs and build on our work to make New York City more accessible and affordable for working-class and low-income New Yorkers.
