Banning transgender troops from service, revoking the VA’s ability to provide abortion-related care and slashing the number of general officers in the ranks are just a few of the policy proposals laid out in a political playbook for what the next Republican administration could look like.

A Message From Mayor Adams:

Each week DVS shares a brief update about how our administration is getting stuff done for New Yorkers.
New York City isn’t just coming back — we are back. Last week, we once again set ANOTHER all-time record for the most jobs in New York City history, with a total of 4.74 million jobs for New Yorkers. Crucially, our city’s unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since August 2022, while Black unemployment is down nearly a full percent below pre-COVID levels. New York City is helping people find jobs through our in-person hiring halls and online Jobs NYC portal, while here at DVS we announced the second iteration of our NYC Boss Up Veterans Entrepreneurship Program in partnership with NYC Small Business Services and the K & R Moelis Family Foundation to help our Veteran Business Owners take their ventures to new heights.
