A Message From Mayor Adams:
Each week DVS shares a brief update about how our administration is getting stuff done for New Yorkers.
Our administration works every day to create a more affordable city by building more affordable housing for our families. We're building today to invest in our tomorrow, including by advancing ambitious projects to build 2,000 new homes in Coney Island, East New York, and Melrose just last week alone. We’re not just building homes — we are building communities with new storefronts, streets, community space, and more. All helping us reach our moonshot goal of 500,000 new homes by 2032 and securing our place as the most pro-housing administration in city history. And here at the DVS, we are driving forward transformative, generational projects that make our city more livable and affordable for working-class New Yorkers — by helping veteran families, whether newly transitioned or long settled, navigate housing, access life-changing benefits, and connect to meaningful employment and community resources.
Week in Review | June 14 - June 20
