Dear Friends,
Huzzah! I am delighted to announce that the USS Constitution Museum will reopen to the public on Friday, August 7. Following that date, the Museum will be open Thursday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
As we welcome visitors back to the Museum, we remain committed to providing educational and engaging experiences while offering a safe environment in accordance with city and state requirements.
The USS Constitution Museum has a careful and thorough plan for reopening. It includes many changes to the visitor experience. We are also implementing a timed ticket system, so be sure to book your visit online starting on August 5.
Your return to the Charlestown Navy Yard can also include touring America’s Ship of State USS Constitution, seeing WWII destroyer USS Cassin Young, and experiencing all this remarkable waterfront park has to offer. Our partners in the U.S. Navy and National Parks of Boston are planning to reopen together on Friday, August 7. “Old Ironsides” will welcome visitors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
The stories of “Old Ironsides” continue to inspire us, and we look forward to sharing her history with you in person, as we have done digitally these past few months.
For our friends near and far, we will continue offering our Virtual Museum experience, featuring videos, blog posts, collection highlights, and more. Follow our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and visit our website usscm.org.
On behalf of the entire crew of the USS Constitution Museum, we look forward to seeing you soon!
Best Wishes,

Anne Grimes Rand
