USS Constitution Museum
November 2019

Let’s all give thanks and celebrate!

We deeply appreciate our partners, especially here in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Many thanks to our colleagues at USS Constitution and National Parks of Boston. We also want to thank our donors, members, and visitors for their continued support.

You can show your gratitude to active duty crew members of Constitution for their service by visiting the Museum's Today's Crew exhibit! Experience the lives of these U.S. Navy sailors through compelling interviews and photographs.

Please note that the USS Constitution Museum has switched to winter hours and is now open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ship is currently open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Museum and the Ship are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 28, and will resume regular hours on Friday, November 29.  Learn More >>

This limited-edition medallion is made from copper sheathing that was once on Constitution’s hull! The front of the medallion features a rendering of “Old Ironsides” based on a painting by Michele Felice Cornè circa 1803. The back features an artist’s concept rendering of USS Constitution’s original figurehead, which was a full-length statue of the Roman hero, Hercules. To purchase this medallion, visit our website.

Explore other Museum store favorites, such as the USS Constitution helm medallion and hand-crafted copper bracelets, which are made from copper that was removed from the hull of "Old Ironsides."

Wondering how USS Constitution was constructed? Find out in the “Anatomy of the Ship” series by Naval Institute Press. A perfect gift for anyone looking to learn more about the 44-gun frigate! The book by Karl Heinz Marquardt features hundreds of drawings, illustrations, and technical information that is perfect for any new or experienced modeler.
