Collections Open House & Rum Party

Before selfies individuals showed the world who they were with a portrait. Captured by the artist's brushstrokes or the photographer's eye, the portrait is a snapshot that reveals an identity and attitude, preserving a unique personality for all time.

Meet face-to-face with the men and women whose legacies of service and courage define USS Constitution. Chat with our curators and vote for your favorite rum concoction during the Privateer Rum Challenge. Join us on Wednesday, May 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM as we celebrate the many stories of individuality and expression told by our significant portrait collection.

Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members. Not a member? Join today! Sponsorship opportunities are also available!

Your participation in this event directly supports the Commodores Fund used to acquire, protect, and share the stories of Constitution and those who served aboard.

LEARN

Restoring an Icon
USS Constitution has undergone numerous re-fits, rebuilds, over hauls and, finally, restorations across her more than 220-year career. In less than ten years after her construction in Boston, she had already experienced significant re-building and repair work. Was she still the same ship?
