Serving with Pride
This month and every day the USS Constitution Museum celebrates the LGBTQ+ sailors who proudly and bravely served and currently serve in the U.S. Navy. The contributions of one of these sailors were recently recognized by the U.S. Navy. Last September, the Navy laid the keel for the future USNS Harvey Milk (T-AO 206), the Navy's second John Lewis-class fleet replenishment oiler. Harvey Milk, a Navy veteran who served during the Korean War, was a civil and human rights leader and the first openly gay elected official in California. Learn more online.
