"Today's Crew" exhibit opens on July 4th

On July 4th, the USS Constitution Museum opens a new exhibit featuring interviews with the diverse group of individuals who make up USS Constitution’s current active-duty crew. In the exhibit, sailors describe, in their own words, what it is like being in the U.S. Navy and working aboard the oldest commissioned warship afloat.

|

USS Constitution Museum has earned its seventh consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the highest possible rating. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that USS Constitution Museum exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in the arts and humanities. Only 6% of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that the Museum outperforms most other charities in America.

In the Yard: Rosie’s Navy Yard Tour

Over 8,000 women joined the workforce at the Boston Naval Shipyard to help win World War II. Join this free 60-minute walking tour to explore their stories. Tour begins at the large flagpole at the base of Pier 1, Charlestown Navy Yard. Space is limited.

Boston Area Chantey & Maritime Sing
July 21 | 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Listen, learn, and lift your voices! Participate in your maritime heritage by joining a rousing chorus of sea chanteys at the USS Constitution Museum. These monthly gatherings, on the 3rd Sunday of every month, are family-friendly and open to anyone who would like to participate.

In the Yard: Summer Concerts
July 4 - August 1 | 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Bring your picnic blankets or grab a lawn chair and come on down to the Charlestown Navy Yard for a memorable summer evening in the park. Featuring live music from from Berklee College of Music and fun for the whole family presented by Knucklebones, including lawn games, and face painting! National Park Rangers will also be providing history interpretation.
