Our imaginations are setting sail into 2018 as we think BIG by going small! The new year begins with offerings that embrace all things mini. After the success of last year’s prototype we're happy to announce the return of our program for preschoolers, Littlest Sailors. Ooh and aah during our 39th annual Model Ship Show as you explore the creations of masters of maritime miniatures. Kids and kids at heart will have the opportunity showcase their building skills at the LEGO Maritime Festival this February School Vacation Week. Finally, we need your help! We want to hear your thoughts, whether big or small, as we work with the National Parks of Boston to envision future possibilities of the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Happy New Year!
Since the beginning months of USS Constitution‘s 2015-2017 dry docking and restoration project, we have taken the time at the turn of each new year to review the past year’s work and to look ahead to coming projects. 2017 was momentous in the ship’s restoration as it saw the final days of “Old Ironsides” in the Charlestown Navy Yard’s Dry Dock 1 and her re-floating in late July.

Become a Museum Mainstay!
Start off 2018 with your own New Year's Constitution! Take home a piece of history with a one-of-a-kind, custom-made connection to Constitution made of her wood and copper. This limited-edition keepsake features a piece of Douglas fir planking removed from the spar deck during the 2007 restoration and copper nails and copper sheeting removed from her hull in the most recent 2015-2017 restoration. Whether you keep this piece as a unique addition to your home or office or pass it on as a once-in-a-lifetime gift, don’t miss this opportunity to have this tangible reminder of “Old Ironsides'" strength and of the many hands that keep our ship afloat.
Mainstays are $1,000 each and can be purchased by contacting Allison Gamble at 617.426.1812 ext. 108.
