It's #GivingTuesday, and the Israelis imprisoned two more Birzeit students, Wishah performers

In yet another attack on Palestinian student activists at Birzeit University, Youad Abuayyash (pictured above) and Baker Ewais (below) have been detained by Israeli Occupation Forces within the past few days. The two young men are student and community activists from the West Bank, as well as leading performers with the cultural organization I helped co-found in Palestine, the Wishah Popular Dance Troupe.

We join USPCN in condemning this Israeli attack on Palestinian cultural and political activism, and demand the immediate release of Youad and Baker!

USPCN is one of our partner organizations, and besides having hosted Wishah for three mini-tours of the U.S. in the past five years, it is also a leading Palestinian political prisoners' advocacy institution, as evidenced by years of organizing for the freedom of Rasmea Odeh, Ahed Tamimi, my own daughter Lina Khattab, Ubai Aboudi, Maher al-Akhras, and most recently, our fearless national and feminist leader Khitam Saafin, the latter still under illegal administrative detention.

We appreciate USPCN's work in the cultural realm as well as the political, and call upon all its members and supporters in the U.S. and beyond to continue to fight to free all Palestinian political prisoners.

I also want you to help support USPCN on #GivingTuesday. Make a tax-deductible donation through Facebook, and if you are not on Facebook, then donate here.

The campaign to #FreeKhitamSaafin will gain momentum, and now we also must shift to campaign for Youad and Baker as well. It will take a lot of work, and Wishah and USPCN will need your continued support.

Thank you, in advance, for your generous donations!

Until Liberation and Return,

Mohamad Ata (Abu Ata)
Co-founder and Director
Wishah Popular Dance Troupe - Palestine
