Chicago leg of Wishah Popular
Dance Troupe tour is SOLD OUT!
The incredible Wishah Popular Dance Troupe has already performed to close to a thousand audience members in Toledo and Detroit / Dearborn, and will visit Cleveland Saturday, April 13th. (You can still get tickets for Cleveland here!)
The Sunday, April 14th, performance in Chicago / Oak Lawn is SOLD OUT, and USPCN is thankful to all who purchased tickets and will be in attendance.
Those who are not able to attend can still support Wishah and USPCN's work by making a donation now!
At the event, we will be offering tribute to the legacies of a number of elders and other activists of Chicago's legendary Arab Community Center (مركز الجالية العربية) who have passed on over the years. USPCN's progressive Palestinian and Arab community organizing work would not be possible without the foundation they laid for us and so many others over many decades in the U.S.

The Wishah Popular Dance Troupe was founded in 2003 by Mohamad Ata, who had also co-founded the El-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe in the late 70s. Wishah's performances tell the story of Palestinian struggle and resilience, from the steadfastness of political prisoners to the joy of community celebrations. The 20-member group contributes to Palestinian cultural life by preserving it from marginalization, inspiring resistance, and advancing popular and folkloric dancing.
