FEATURED: Delivering in the digital era: UPU helps postal operators meet new EAD requirements

Digital transformation in the postal sector is moving forward as designated operators around the world make strides with Electronic Advance Data (EAD) requirements with assistance from the Universal Postal Union. However, not all post and parcel delivery organizations have been able to guarantee accurate data collection.

With the approaching COP26 in mind and as part of the leading European postal trade show "Parcel+Post Expo", the UPU held its annual World Leaders Forum in the online format on 11 October 2021. The one-day event brought together 13 postal CEOs and leaders from around the world and was held under the theme “One Ocean – Many Currents”, focusing on sustainable global trade and the latest postal industry trends.

World Post Day 2021

UPU celebrates posts’ creativity and resilience during COVID-19 on World Post Day

The Universal Postal Union celebrated World Post Day 2021 on October 8 with the theme “Innovate to recover.” The celebration brought together experts from posts and governments around the world in a hybrid ceremony to discuss how the postal sector has played a key role in society during the global pandemic.

Union Postale No.3.2021: The road from Abidjan

It was a long road to Abidjan but, as you will read in this edition of Union Postale, we reached our destination safely and successfully. The future after Abidjan

The 27th Universal Postal Congress – held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – closed on 27 August 2021, welcoming new changes to enhance the postal sector between 2022 and 2025. Opening up, sustainability, gender equality, and more – the publication presents the key outcomes of the Congress, which will define the development of the postal sector during the next Abidjan postal cycle.
