We apologize to those who were unable to join today’s (March 26) Zoom call to discuss the UN2020 draft “UN75 People’s Declaration.”. Next time, we promise to increase the number of individuals able to join the call.

Please note that on Tuesday March 31, the Declaration, Plan of Action and abbreviated Talking Points will be presented as part of the UN2020 end-of-month global update call. These presentations will include additional information on the various ways civil society colleagues around the world will be encouraged and enabled to contribute their comments and suggestions to the improvement of the Declaration and related documents through the first three weeks of April.

UN2020 Coordinating Partner the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY has taken the lead in co-organizing this call. Additional speakers will address the COVID-19 pandemic, including its impacts on the United Nations; the ongoing work of the Co-Facilitators (Qatar and Sweden) steering discussions of the UN Member States’ political declaration; and the UN Secretariat’s UN75 campaign.

Finally, a reminder regarding the UN75 Survey. The results from this survey will form an integral part of the Secretary-General’s report on UN75 activities. Please take a moment to complete the UN75 Survey if you have not already done so, and forward the Survey link to others in your networks.
