Fulfilling the UN75 Declaration Experts Roundtable
The second roundtable of the Fulfilling the UN75 Declaration Expert Series, held March 18 2021, addressed UN75 Declaration commitment #2 (We will protect our planet) and commitment #10 (We will boost partnerships).
A consortium of independent civil society organizations took part in the dialogue on progress, challenges, and further measures needed to address these two commitments. The discussion was sponsored by the Coalition for the UN We Need (C4UN), Global Challenges Foundation/Climate Governance Commission, Group of Women Leaders for Change and Inclusion, Plataforma CIPÓ, the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, and the Stimson Center.

Better Climate Governance Matters:
Supporting Global Climate Action By Improving The Effectiveness Of UNFCCC Meetings
April 19th, 2021
The Better Climate Governance conference will provide a forum for negotiators, non-national actors and the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) secretariat to develop and exchange ideas about how the UNFCCC meetings can be shaped to improve their effectiveness in supporting global climate action in the 2020s.
It will address questions on improving the decision-making process, how the format would need to change to make better use of the knowledge of non-national actors, and how countries can best leverage learning of other actors through knowledge transfer and capacity building.

Join the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY together with the Coalition for the UN We Need and other partners for a dialogue on education. Education at all levels have faced unforeseen challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Education is covered in the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals and is key to the success of the UN2030 Sustainable Development Agenda to “Leave No One Behind.”
