IEO releases special publication on evaluation lessons relevant for COVID

The report draws on ongoing and completed evaluations, discusses the GEF's responses to crises, and provides relevant lessons in mitigation strategies and in building resilience from GEF's previous and current projects.

Evaluation HEAD-lines: Remote Approaches to Evaluations in Times of COVID-19

Learn how the organizations of GEF IEO and IFAD IOE will proceed with their evaluative work despite the impacts of COVID-19 on their work program.

GEF Council approves IEO work program and budget

Despite the pandemic's role in suspending field work for the unforeseen future, the IEO continues its work program through portfolio analyses, reviews of project evaluation reports and geospatial analysis. The Council approved the IEO work program and budget for fiscal year 2021.

IEO officially launches Seventh Comprehensive Evaluation of the GEF (OPS7)

The Seventh Comprehensive Evaluation of the GEF (OPS7) is now underway. The approach paper was approved by the Council and the first draft will be prepared in time for the October 2021 replenishment meeting.

A number of evaluations will feed into the Seventh Comprehensive Evaluation of the GEF (OPS7).
