DECEMBER 2017
NEWS ⎜ OPPORTUNITIES ⎜ PUBLICATIONS

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are excited to share with you some recent highlights of START’s work - from the launch of a new regional network under the Global Observation of Forest Cover and Land Dynamics (GOFC-GOLD) program, to the completion of the second round of the Pan-Asia Risk Reduction (PARR) fellowship program, to the high-level panel on Funding Science at the United Nations Environment Assembly.

In the new year, we will increase our focus on better understanding and addressing the linkages between food, energy and water resources with two new programs. One of the key events we are organizing with partners in the new year will explore the transformations needed for Africa to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - stay tuned for more details.

We are grateful to all those who have already supported our efforts and we count on you to keep the momentum going. Your donation to START creates opportunities for training, research, education and networking - helping scientists, policy-makers and communities meet critical sustainability challenges. You can donate online or by writing to our Director of Finance.

Thank you!
Cheikh Mbow
Executive Director, START International
