When politicians are losing and can’t defend their record or have no record to run on at all, they get desperate and attack their opponents in an attempt to change the subject.
We are winning the race for the Republican nomination in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District by double digits, and that is why some of my opponents are resorting to nasty personal attacks, and even working with bloggers and fake news reporters to publish their smears.
I am funding this campaign with my own hard-earned money and I have complied with ALL disclosure rules required by the U.S. House of Representatives. The source of my loan to the campaign is plain as day on my financial disclosure statement and I have been completely transparent. I have sufficient income from our businesses to make this loan. I have been successful as a CPA and auditor, and now as a commercial grain farmer and in commercial real estate, and that only could have happened in America because of the freedom and opportunity our country provides. As a legal immigrant, U.S. citizen and someone who has had a chance to realize the American Dream, I am called to give back. I also want you to know I will not be beholden to party leaders or special interest donors so that I can fight for our conservative values and represent what is best for individuals, families and small businesses across the 5th District.
In addition to these false attacks on my decision to fund my own campaign, my opponents have accused me of working with Russian oligarchs and all sorts of bizarre, laughable conspiracies. These are the same tactics Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and the corrupt liberal media have used against President Trump. These attacks are 100% FALSE. In fact, they are so baseless and so malicious I am considering taking legal action against the individuals promoting them.
I love this country and I am grateful for the opportunities it has provided for me and my family. I am running for Congress because I want to protect the American Dream for your family, and future generations. I hope to earn your vote on June 2nd.
