Close to 30 Polk County Democrats attended in-person and virtually the BlueShift FL GOTV Roadshow in Lakeland to learn how to lead teams of volunteers helping voters turn out to vote!
|
|
With mail-in ballots going out this week, BlueShift FL, the Florida Democratic Party's coordinated campaign to help local candidates and turn out voters, is moving into the GOTV (Get Out The Vote) phase.
The campaign needs volunteers to 'chase votes', that is door knock and call registered Democrats and left-leaning no-party voters to make sure they turn in their ballots, vote early or vote on the day.
Turning out voters will mean local Democratic candidates, such as Veysel Dokur, who is running for FL Senate Dist 12, and Markeishia Smith, who is running a countywide campaign to be elected District 4 Polk County Commissioner, will win.
Sign-up to one of the Polk County canvassing or phonebanking events below. All is required is 1-2 hours of your time during the week. Remember, we only have six more weeks before the election!
