REMINDERS
**** ALL eligible voters can vote in the countywide Polk County School Board elections. Encourage your no-party affiliated contacts to get out the vote. The Polk County Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) has endorsed Sarah Fortney (District 3), Sara Jones (District 6) and Dell Quary (District 7). The DEC also considers Kay Fields (District 5), to be the better of the two candidates in her race.
**** ALL eligible voters can also select between Republicans running in two State House Seats in Polk County, in the Universal Primaries. It is recommended Democrats cast a ballot to elect the candidates, below, who may come closest in representing our values.

No matter the outcome in tomorrow's election results, the Polk County DEC would like to thank EVERYONE for their efforts to move the 'Democratic needle' in our county. This week, take a moment to collect your energy because the battle is not over.
We will need to take our efforts to the next level. We will need to dig deep to use twice as much energy and involvement to put more Democrats in elected state and federal seats, and remove DeSantis from office! For now, be proud of all your volunteer efforts to date and the 'good trouble' you started.

Polk County Democratic Environmental Caucus: Thursday, Aug 25, 2022 @ 7 PM.
Guest speaker will be Florida Democratic Party field organizers for Polk County, Michelle Bradley and Eileen Scheffel.
Polk County Young Democratic Club: Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 @ 7PM. This meeting was postponed from the 23rd, due to the election on that day.
Greater Winter Haven Democratic Club: Saturday, Aug 27, at 1 pm at the Audubon Center, 115 Lameraux Road, Winter Haven.
Guest speaker will be Markeishisia Smith, candidate for Polk County Commissioner, District 4.
