To anticipate climate impact and take early actions to prevent losses and damage, adaptation by the private sector is essential for businesses. Although those impacts pose both risks and opportunities, many businesses still tend to underestimate their exposure to climate risks. At the same time, business opportunities arising from the need to reduce vulnerability are too often overlooked or unrecognised.
To broaden the understanding of climate risks and adaptation from the private sector’s perspective, this webinar is to launch a new publication by UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, which explores how businesses can reduce climate risks and take advantage of the opportunities emerging in climate change.
