The Church will celebrate the Exaltation
of the Cross on September 14th.
The Cross is the central image of our Faith
because it is our means of salvation. It is also
the perfect symbol of Christ's love for us and
the sacrifice He made for our redemption.
We are called to take up our crosses
and follow Him on the path to Heaven.
No one has exalted the Cross better than
our Heavenly Mother as she experienced it
first-hand. And a sword of sorrow pierced
her heart. So, we honor Mary, Mother of
Sorrows the very next day (September 15th).
