For decades, developing audio applications for embedded systems has been available only to a small number of experts. ADC'19 is showcasing two new technologies that significantly lower the barriers to deploying audio on hardware devices.
The SOUL workshop demonstrates how the language can easily be deployed to both desktop and embedded platforms, and attendees will be able to run their code on hardware including modular rack synths and other "special guest" devices.
In addition, Elk (formerly known as MIND Music Labs) will present a workshop on how to turn a JUCE plug-in into a hardware instrument at ADC'19.
Elk have recently open sourced their award-winning audio operating system and development kit for Rasberry Pi.
We spoke with Stefano Zambon, CTO at Elk, about their decision to go open source, how to start using their software, and more.
When is the Audio Developer Conference?
Hosted on November 18-20 in London (workshops 18 Nov, conference 19-20 Nov), ADC is the largest annual gathering of audio developers.
Note that conference tickets are limited, and workshops are limited to 40 participants. Please book early to avoid disappointment as we expect to run at full capacity.
All the best from London,
The ADC Team
