Visit our online exhibition for a glimpse at the history of student organizing

If you haven't yet had an opportunity, take a moment to wander over to our current (virtual) exhibition, Walkout: A Brief History of Student Organizing. We miss hanging out at the archive, but there's nothing like visiting an exhibition from the comfort of your couch!

May 2020 marked the 50th anniversary of the Kent State and Jackson State massacres, which set off a historically large-scale student strike across the nation. Walkout uses archival material—posters, buttons, pamphlets, flyers, zines, and more—to examine the broader scope of student movements that both led up to and followed those of May 1970.

Listen to more of the history on Audio Interference 75: Kent State and Jackson State, an interview with Dennis O'Neil.
