Interference Archive is moving and growing! We’re SO excited--and hope you are too!--but we have to be upfront and tell you that we really need your help and support today.

You might have heard that IA was evicted from its current space at 131 8th Street in Gowanus because our building sold. But you know the great news? We found a new home! Just three blocks away. And it’s even better! (more on that to come. . .)

What can you do to help?

Today we launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $35,000 and we’re asking that everyone who supports the mission of Interference Archive make a financial contribution. Building out our new permanent space--there are more than 10 years on our lease--has been a total thrill but we’ve had to put forward every dollar we saved up and have more expenses coming at us quickly.

The only way our 100% volunteer run archive and community space has been able to thrive is through the support of people like you. And we need you in this moment more than ever.

Here’s what your donation will directly support:

• A heavy investment in creating just the right preservation system for our archive of social movement materials that span 7 decades and dozens of countries.
• Updates to our storage and shelving so the archive stays flexible, easy to use, and accessible to all.
• The costs of building out our space to fit the needs of our community--keeping things public, free, and ADA accessible.
• Moving into a long-term space comes with high deposit costs and rent increases. You’ll be helping us with this too.
