IIED's best of 2021: publications

While at IIED we’ve been mostly working from home for the past year, we have still been publishing research. In 2021 we published more than 100 papers – a mix of research reports, toolkits, briefings and more that are now quicker and easier to download than ever before thanks to our revamped Publications Library, which contains over 7,000 publications.

Our most popular blog of the last 12 months explored why Indigenous economics is the key to saving nature, and there were more than 400,000 views as IIED's staff and guest authors reguarly shared a wide range of opinions on issues related to our research.

IIED's best of 2021: videos

IIED produced more than 220 videos this year, ranging from award-nominated animations to a video-focused annual review and a fully online, high-profile Barbara Ward Lecture.

In a new blog, Matt Wright reflects on 10 of the best videos from the last 12 months, examines how COVID-19 has led to an increase in the use of video, and looks at what's in store for IIED in 2022.

Apply to be our new executive director

IIED's trustees are looking to appoint a new executive director to join IIED in summer 2022 to lead a step-change in our institutional strength and voice. The executive director will lead progressive change for IIED in the coming years, defining our position in a complex new world.
