July 2021
Welcome to the IDPC Alert. The #SupportDontPunish 2021 Global Day of Action, on 26 June, was a resounding success, with campaigners mobilising in over 260 cities of 96 countries (a record!). As we continue to navigate your stories of success, please share with us your experiences and impact. The Day was also a great way to culminate #DrugDecrim Month, which saw over 200 conversations on the importance of ending punitive approaches to drug use and related activities reach thousands on social media channels. As well as the launch of an updated drug decriminalisation map and a new free Drug decriminalisation [e]Course that has already been accessed by colleagues in over 40 countries! In the coming months, IDPC will also be marking its 15th anniversary (!) with a series of infographics and publications. Stay tuned for more and share your thoughts with the hashtag #IDPC15years!
