11 dec : Online conference I Mainstreaming Climate to Align with Paris
The Climate Action in Financial institution of which I4CE is the secretariat, is celebrating its 5-year anniversary on the sidelines of the Climate Ambition Summit 2020. High-level representatives of financial institutions will present and discuss why they are taking steps towards aligning their strategies and operations with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, where they are at, and how the 5 voluntary Principles for Climate Mainstreaming are guiding them in this process.

9 dec : Webinar I Green Finance Research Advances
The objective of the conference, organized by the Banque de France, the Institut Louis Bachelier, Finance For Tomorrow and I4CE is to bring together academics, finance practitioners and regulators, to discuss together research issues related to the integration of climate risks (more generally environmental issues) into macro-economic modelling/forecasting and into the risk assessment of the financial sector.

Energy Policy Tracker
In his last speech, Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN mentionned that G20 countries have committed 50% more funding to support fossil fuels than to low carbon energy. This number is coming from the Energy Policy Tracker, a project where I4CE is involved. Updated every week, the Tracker provides information on public money commitments for different energy types, as well as other policies supporting energy production and consumption.

Climate assessment of local authority budgets: synthesis
For local authorities, it is particularly at the time of the arbitration on the expenditures that will actually be made that it is possible to question these expenditures and to direct them as much as possible towards the climate transition. This is why I4CE and its partners have embarked on the construction of a common and shared methodology to evaluate a local budget under the prism of climate issues.
