Climate chapter of the French recovery plan: Off to a good start 
The French government has officially unveiled the content of its €100 billion recovery plan, part of which is dedicated to the fight against climate change. While we will have to wait for the details to assess the plan’s ability to put France on the road to carbon neutrality, Louise Kessler and Quentin Perrier of I4CE believe that it is a good start: the amounts allocated to climate are broadly in line with the needs for additional public funding which had been identified by I4CE before the summer. Hydrogen: France still has many challenges to face
I4CE has invited researchers Jean-Pierre Ponssard from Polytechnique/CNRS and Guy Meunier from INRAE to analyze the "hydrogen plan" that the government has just announced to encourage the production of "green" hydrogen and its use in industry and mobility. They emphasize the many challenges that France will still have to meet to succeed in the hydrogen challenge, and in particular the need to evaluate the progress of the sector.

Combining Economic recovery with climate
