Firefighters arrived on scene with active fire alarms going off from a restaurant. They investigated the roof and conducted a primary search of the first and second floors and all adjoining buildings. Crews reported smoke on the roof which appeared to be coming from the vent shaft leading to the kitchen. The fire appeared to have started in the grease ventilation system and was extinguished with no extension. An HFD inspector, the power company and a health inspector were requested. Firefighters from Stations 69, 78, 83, 49, 57 and 77 responded to this incident.
