Residential Garage Fire in Lake Houston Area

The cause is under investigation by HFD Arson investigators.
|

|
Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy smoke coming from a residential detached garage. They forced entry and were met by heavy fire. They worked to contain and extinguish the fire while crews pulled ceiling in the breezeway to make sure the fire had not spread into the home. The fire had not spread and crews used saws to open the garage doors and gain better access to the fire. They completed extinguishing the fire and worked to insure all hot spots were out. Some smoke had traveled into the home through an open door and breezeway. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 64, 64, 65 and 56 responded to this incident.
