Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke with no heat or fire on the 15th floor of an out patient building which was part of The Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor Hospital System. The fire had self extinguished prior to HFDs arrival. HFD Hazmat took readings and the crews ventilated the floor. There was limited evacuation and shelter on place on the lower floors. It was determined that an employee was trying to change out an oxygen cylinder when an explosion occurred. The employee suffered from minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. All oxygen cylinders were still intact. The scene was left in control of building management. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the incident. Crews of Stations 37, 6, 8, 28, 3, 16, 21, 33, 7, 24 and HFD Hazmat responded to this incident.
