Large multi-agency grass fire in Southwest Houston at approximately 80 percent contained.

The Houston Fire Department was dispatched to the grass fire on a golf course behind the apartments at 12:32 p.m. and arrived on scene within two minutes.
The Houston Police Department is providing visual air support, with units from Community (Alief), Stafford and Missouri City Fire Departments assisting the Houston Fire Department.
The fire is about 80 percent contained with fire and smoke on the north side of the property. Firefighters are using drones to help survey the incident and for a strategic attack.
Several bulldozers from Public Works and Engineering have also been requested to assist.
There is no impact on the surrounding community.
