CAUSE:
The cause is undetermined / under investigation by HFD Arson investigators
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large 2-story brick home heavily involved with fire through the roof. They began a defensive attack and set up ladder pipe operations. The home had not been occupied since Hurricane Harvey and was still undergoing repairs from the flood. Crews were rotated through rehab and worked to extinguish the fire. One firefighter was checked on scene for a heat related incident. After the fire was extinguished,firefighters remained on scene to insure the fire did not rekindle. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 64, 102, 30, 32, 34, 39, 101, 103, 104 and 105 responded to this incident.
