Firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The resident reported that she was cooking and left for a brief time and when she returned the house was filled with smoke. Firefighters conducted overhaul and ensured the residents’ needs were addressed before releasing the scene. Crews from Stations 51, 2, 59, 68, 48, 82, 24 and 73 responded to this incident.
