Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of a single story home and began an offensive attack. A primary and secondary search were completed and the utilities were secured. Firefighters attempted to rescue a dog but it succumbed to smoke inhalation. The house was ventilated and after an investigation into the cause, crews conducted search and overhaul operations. Firefighters from Stations 19, 45, 27, 39, 41, 43, 30 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
