House Fire in The Neartown-Montrose Area

Firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming out from the wall in the kitchen around an electrical outlet. They opened the wall and found charring and extinguished the fire. A primary search was completed and they ventilated the residence. Crews checked for extension and conducted salvage and overhaul. The owner was advised to have an electrician inspect the home before turning the power back on. Firefighters from Stations 6, 8 and 16 responded to this incident.
