Firefighters arrived on scene with residents exiting a home with smoke coming from the roof and eaves. The owner was cleaning the attic and saw an arc when he turned on a light. He attempted to put the fire out with a garden house. Crews made an offensive attack and extinguished the fire in the attic. Firefighters from Stations 26, 17, 20, 23, 42 and 24 responded to this incident.
